2011 Irmscher 7 Selectra Electric Roadster Concept
2011 Irmscher 7 Selectra Electric Roadster concept will be powered by a 144V DC electric motor. This was revealed when in 2011 the Geneva Motor Show. As for pricing, Irmscher expects the 7 Selectra Electric Roadster to be sold for about $126,000 later this year.
The car comes with electric motor is expected to churn out 235 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. Further, the electric motor will be powered by a lithium iron phosphate cell battery (LiFePo). Irmscher claims that the liquid cooled battery has the capacity to undergo thousands of cycles of depleting and recharging with little power loss at low temperatures.
Charging can be done either via a conventional household power outlet or even wireless. In fact, the batteries can be charged up to 80 percent capacity around 3 to 8 hours depending on the capacity of the charger. With the single charge, the Irmscher 7 Selectra Electric Roadster is expected to have a driving range of up to 124 miles.
