The Mini Coupe and the Mini Roadster are both scheduled to enter production starting this year at the company’s Oxford plant. Both models will be coming to the United States starting with the Coupe in August 2011.

The Mini Roadster will feature a manual folding top. Unlike the Mini Cooper Convertible, the Mini Roadster will have a manually operated folding roof that you can unlatch and fold down by hand.
The Mini to save weight from the Roadster, however, the downside is that it’ll cost more than the Mini Cooper Convertible. The Roadster Concept is designed to carry a 1.6L twin-scroll turbocharged 4-cylinder with 175-hp / 177 lb-ft of torque.
